IGNITE Leadership Conference Returns Feb. 23

The Center for Student Engagement at The University of Scranton is hosting its annual leadership conference on Saturday, Feb. 23. The third annual IGNITE – Student Leadership Conference is open to college and university leadership programs and students from across the Northeastern Pennsylvania region. This is regarded as the premiere leadership conference in the Northeastern PA region. Since its inception it continues to grow each year, and is projected to far surpass the 150 participants from last year. All institutions and their students are invited to participate in IGNITE to develop new skill sets and discover their potential as student leaders.

IGNITE is a half-day conference that includes more than 20 breakout sessions and two keynote sessions with nationally renowned speaker and author Ed Gerety. Gerety is a past keynote speaker at the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference, a national conference held each summer at a different Jesuit institution. The author of “Combinations: Opening the Door to Student Leadership,” Gerety has spoken at universities, colleges, youth conferences, schools and other organizations in all 50 states, Canada and Europe. For more information about Gerety, visit www.edgerety.com.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the DeNaples Center. The conference concludes at 4 p.m. The program fee of $25 for non-University of Scranton students includes program materials, a light breakfast, lunch and refreshments. The conference is free to University of Scranton students. Pre-registration is required to attend.
