SMART Mentoring Program Applications Available

Want to become a bentor to a high school freshman! The SMART Program, created and coordinated by the Center for Service and Social Justice, in conjunction with the Counseling and Human Services and Education departments, this mentoring program focuses on establishing supportive, personal connections between college undergraduate students and local high school freshman. University students will foster an empowering and encouraging environment for Scranton school district high school students to feel comfortable discussing various topics. Some of these topics will include: healthy relationships and support networks, personal wellness, self-expression, education and career planning, communication and social media, and developmental transitioning. Download and fill out the application and return no later than Wednesday, Nov. 28, to the Center for Service & Social Justice, DeNaples Center, room 205B.
