Scranton Students Attend National Conference on Jesuit Student Leadership

Sep 15, 2016

Five University of Scranton students participated in the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference, held at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, this summer.

The national conference, held at a different Jesuit University each summer, entails group discussions, a day of service and various workshops focused on furthering the development of students’ leadership from a Jesuit perspective.

At this year’s conference, the students met with Craig Zablocki, a motivational speaker who works with Fortune 500 companies to instruct on ways to improve creativity in leadership positions. Zablocki has worked with former Vice President Al Gore, Disney and Microsoft. Participants also met with Naomi Tutu, the founder of Nozizwe Consulting. This consulting firm preforms social science research with the goal of understanding socio-cultural context and behavior in Africa while simultaneously educating the local people about, and implementing procedures to improve, health in the African communities.

The following is a list of Scranton students who participated in the Jesuit leadership conference and the various University departments or activities they represented.
