The University of Scranton recognized Hemmler + Camayd Architects, Scranton, as its 2015 Business Partner of the Year. The award, presented at a dinner held recently on campus, recognizes an organization for contributing outstanding service and value to the University’s Jesuit mission.

Hemmler + Camayd, along with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, assisted by Higher Education Research Associates, were the architects of the recently completed, eight-floor Edward R. Leahy Jr. Hall at the University. The world-class teaching facility houses the occupational therapy, physical therapy and exercise science departments of the Panuska College of Professional Studies. The facility, which includes 25 state-of-the-art laboratories, nine traditional and active-learning classrooms, and multiple simulation environments, is designed to facilitate research and expand service-learning projects.

Hemmler + Camayd also designed Pilarz & Montrone Halls, the University’s upper classmen residence halls that include apartment style rooms, a convenience store and fitness center, as well as Redington Hall, one of the University’s sophomore residence halls.

Seeking enduring relationships with clients and collaborators is an important element of Hemmler + Camayd Architects’ mission statement.

This is the 10th year the University has recognized a Business Partner of the Year.
