Geisinger Health System and The University of Scranton have partnered to offer an expedited bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program for registered nurses beginning in the fall of 2015.  Both lecture and clinical classes will be held onsite at Geisinger-Community Medical Center and taught by University of Scranton faculty. Nurses at other Geisinger campuses will also be able to participate in the degree program via live video conferencing.

Geisinger nurses will also be offered a special tuition rate.

The RN to BSN Partnership Program will allow registered nurses working at Geisinger to complete their bachelor of science in nursing degree with 48.5 credits from The University of Scranton’s nursing program, which is accredited by The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

In addition, participants who meet academic requirements will have the option to apply for the University’s accelerated master of science in nursing (MSN) program, which allows them to earn up to 12 graduate credits toward a MSN while earning their bachelor’s degree.
