University Hosts Math Integration Bee April 20

Area high school students can participate in The University of Scranton’s annual Math Integration Bee Monday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m. in the Mcllhenny Ballroom of the DeNaples Center. The competition, which also has a college division open to area college students, is free of charge.

The competition can help students improve their skills for Advanced Placement mathematics tests. The format is similar to a spelling bee, but Integration Bee participants solve a type of calculus problem to find antiderivatives of functions.

Each participant advancing to the final round of competition is awarded a $25 prize. The winner of the high school division and the college division each receive an additional $75 prize.
