Five University of Scranton Faculty Receive Intersession Grants

Five members of The University of Scranton faculty and staff have been awarded development intersession grants for January 2013.

George J. Aulisio received a grant to research “Sudden Selector’s Guide to Philosophy.” Aulisio is an assistant librarian of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Memorial Library.

Linda Ledford-Miller, Ph.D., received a grant to study “Robert Downey, Jr. as Detective: Sherlock Holmes Redux.” Dr. Ledford-Miller is a professor of world languages and cultures.

Jessica M. Nolan, Ph.D., received a grant for “A New Perspective on Social Norms.” Dr. Nolan is an assistant professor of psychology.

David A. Rusak, Ph.D., received a grant to research “Diagnosing Human Zinc Deficiency with Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy of Fingernail Clippings.” Dr. Rusak is an associate professor of chemistry.

Janice Voltzow, Ph.D., received a grant to study “Endoscopy of the Mantle Cavities of Abalone.” Dr. Voltzow is a professor and the department chair of biology.
