The University of Scranton to Host Holiday Concerts

Performance Music at The University of Scranton will host the 43rd annual Noel Night on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. in the Houlihan-Mclean Center on Jefferson Avenue.

         Performance Music at The University of Scranton will host two annual holiday concerts: the 43rd annual Noel Night on Saturday, Dec. 4, and the Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert on Thursday, Dec. 9.

         On Noel Night, the doors to the Houlihan-Mclean Center will open at 7 p.m., with a prelude beginning at 7:10 p.m. The concert will follow at 8 p.m., and will include performances by The University of Scranton performance choirs and small instrumental ensembles. The concert is free of charge and open to the public.

         The Empty Stocking concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Dec.9 in the Houlihan-McLean Center, and will feature an evening of Christmas carols with “Santa” Ron Leas and The Christmas Big Band. In lieu of admission for the Empty Stocking event, guests are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy or a new article of children’s clothing.
