Scranton Among ‘America’s Best Graduate Schools’

      The University of Scranton is among “America’s Best Graduate Schools” listed in the 2011 Edition of the U.S. News & World Report guidebook, published April 20, 2010.

      The guidebook ranks the quality of graduate programs in the categories of business, education, engineering, law and medicine based on an expert opinion survey and analysis of statistical data related to a school’s faculty, research and students.

      The University of Scranton is included among the 433 business schools listed in the guidebook. The publication provides general information about The University of Scranton and MBA concentrations it offers, which include accounting, finance, general management, health care administration, international business, marketing, management information systems and operations management. Scranton did not receive a number rank from U.S. News.

      The University of Scranton’s MBA program is accredited by AACSB International, the most recognized and respected business school accrediting body. All business schools listed in the publication have AACSB accreditation. 

      This is the second national accolade The University of Scranton has received this month. In the April 2010 edition of Entrepreneur magazine, Scranton was named among the nation’s top 15 schools for general management in the “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools” ranking conducted by The Princeton Review.

      U.S.News & World Report has ranked The University of Scranton among the top 10 master’s universities in the north for the past 16 years and, this year, ranked Scranton third among schools with a “Strong Commitment to Teaching” and fourth among the top  “Up and Coming” schools in the nation.

      The University of Scranton’s Kania School of Management has been included in the Princeton Review’s Best 301 Business Schools for five consecutive years. Scranton has also been listed in the Princeton Review’s undergraduate guidebook, The Best 371 Colleges, for eight consecutive years.
