Students Present Interactive Arabic Puppet Show at The Mall at Steamtown

     University of Scranton students, faculty and staff will present an original, interactive Arabic puppet show titled “Leila and the Mythical Sandbox” at Timmy’s Town Center at The Mall at Steamtown Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11. Both shows begin at 2 p.m. Admission is $3 per person; children under 2 are free.

     The show tailored for children 10 years old and younger, and features Arabic music, language, customs, mythology, dancing and dress. The puppets speak Arabic, but the show is fully narrated in English in a manner targeted for children. In addition, children will learn to Arabic characters and greetings. 

     Timmy’s Town Center is a private, not-for-profit organization formed to create a children’s museum. The center is a member of the Association of Children's Museums.
