The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA) presented Marian L. Farrell, Ph.D., professor of nursing at The University of Scranton, with its 2009 Nursing Education Award. Bestselling author William Bernhardt, a former trial lawyer known for his mastery of the courtroom drama, will receive the Friends of the Weinberg Memorial Library Royden B. Davis, S.J., Distinguished Author Award at a reception at The University of Scranton on Nov. 14. The University of Scranton will host a German Film Festival to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The festival, which is free of charge and open to the public, begins on Nov. 9.
