Scranton's First DPT International Graduate

Esther Waweru (center) became the first international student to earn a doctorate of physical therapy degree from The University of Scranton at the Jesuit school’s 2009 commencement ceremony. A citizen of Kenya, she currently resides in Lancaster. Congratulating Dr. Waweru are Debra Pellegrino, Ed.D., dean of the Panuska College of Professional Studies (left), and John Sanko, Ed.D., associate professor and chair of the Physical Therapy Department at Scranton.
