Five Named to Board of Trustees at The University of Scranton

The University of Scranton has named five individuals to its Board of Trustees: Christopher M. “Kip” Condron, New York, N.Y.; Lisa DeNaples, D.M.D., Scranton; Michael P. Glinsky Jr., Denver, Colo., and Scranton; Michele Finn, Bronxville, N.Y.; and Dennis J. McGonigle ’82, Chester Springs.

A graduate of The University of Scranton’s class of 1970, Condron, is director, president and chief executive officer of AXA Financial, Inc. He was elected president and chief executive officer of AXA Financial, Inc., and a member of the AXA Financial Group Management Board in May 2001. In addition, he is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of AXA Financial’s principal insurance subsidiary, AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company (formerly The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States).

Dr. DeNaples is vice president of construction and development at Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono. She is also a partner in two dental practices in northeastern Pennsylvania and is the dentist for the Summer Camp (World Links) that serves Russian orphans. Dr. DeNaples serves on the boards of the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau, the Boys and Girls Club, the Scranton Cultural Center, Scranton Preparatory School and SCOLA (Scranton Council on Literacy Advance).

Currently a private investor, Glinsky graduated from The University of Scranton in 1966. He previously served as advisor and managing director of Glass Lewis & Company, an independent research company. He also has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of NorthPoint Communications Group, Inc., and was formerly the executive vice president and chief financial officer of US WEST, Inc. He also served as managing partner of the Denver office of Coopers and Lybrand. Glinsky currently serves on the Boards of many organizations, including Renal Ventures Management, Inc., Regis University and Colorado Haiti Project.

Finn attended Maryville College, St. Louis, Mo., and Sorbonne, Paris, France, and worked as a meeting planner until her retirement. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Development Committees of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, in both Greenwich, Conn., and New York City. She began another term of service on the Convent’s New York City Board in September.

A graduate of The University of Scranton’s class of 1982, McGonigle is chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president at SEI Investments. Prior to his appointment to CFO in 2002, he ran one of SEI’s operating segments. Previously, he served as head of product management, overseeing the product development and maintenance of products and services related to SEI’s investment management offering, as well as SEI’s fund services area.
