FAQ: Recruitment and Hiring

Application Status

Once the applicant is logged into Employment Online, select "application status" and refer to the "status" column. 

Forgotten Password/Username

From the Employment Online website, select "login" on the left hand navigation tool and then click on "I forgot my password/username" and submit the required information.

Update documents

An applicant may change a document that has been uploaded until a confirmation number for application is received.  Once the confirmation number is the received, the applicant is not allowed to change documents.  However after receipt of the confirmation number, the applicant may email the new/updated document request to hr@scranton.edu.

Application Under Review

"Application under review" means that the application is under review by Human Resources or the hiring department. At this point, the position has not been filled.

Paper Applications

The University of Scranton does not accept paper applications.  All applications must be submitted through the University's Employment Online system at universityofscrantonjobs.com. Applicants must apply to a specific posting and upload the required documents. Applicants will receive a confirmation number confirming the application has been successfully submitted.

For individuals interested in employment but without internet access, there are computers available to you in the Office of Human Resources in St. Thomas Hall, Suite 100.
