Dr. Danielle Arigo

Assistant Professor of Psychology

Dr. Arigo is a clinical psychologist with a specialty in health psychology/behavioral medicine. She is a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She received her B.S. from Drexel University (Psychology) and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Syracuse University (Clinical Psychology). She also completed health-focused training during her clinical internship at the Syracuse VA Medical Center and Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Drexel University (Laboratory for Innovations in Health-Related Behavior Change and Lowe Labs). She teaches Health Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, and Fundamentals of Psychology, and directs the Clinical Health Psychology Research team at the University of Scranton. Dr. Arigo is an Associate Faculty Member of the Women's Studies Program; students can earn WS credit for Health Psychology in the Spring of 2017. Dr. Arigo is a Scholar for the 2015-2016 PRIDE-Cardiovascular Disease Summer Institute, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute). She also was awarded a U of S Summer Research Grant to study the feasibility of an online program for diabetes prevention.
