Information Update - Winter 1992 - 1993

New Evening Librarian Joins Staff

The Weinberg Memorial Library staff welcomes its newest librarian, Joe Fennewald. Joe joined us Sept. 8 as the evening public services librarian. He works 2 to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. This provides the Library additional coverage during evening and weekend hours, necessary because of the increased use of the new facility. New evening public services librarian Joe Penneu::nld assists Abington Heights High School student Denise Mitchell.
New Evening Services Librarian
A recent graduate with honors, Joe was awarded a Master's in Library Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, August, 1992. Prior to pursuing a professional career in library science, Joe worked 10 years as a medical social worker in Kansas City, Missouri, and has a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Because of his own experience, he believes that he is particularly empathetic with students who are returning to school to pursue new careers. Although he has always lived in the Midwest near his mother and nine siblings, Joe. is enjoying Scranton and exploring northeastern Pennsylvania. We are glad to have Joe on board.
