Information Update - Spring 2009

The University of Scranton Digital Yearbook Collection

The Weinberg Memorial Library's digital collections now include the University of Scranton yearbooks, from the 1916 St. Thomas College Aquinas to the 2007 Windhover. The 74-volume collection, containing almost 20,000 pages, was digitized by OCLC Preservation Services in Bethlehem, PA, and published to the web using CONTENTdm software.

The books provide a photographic and textual record of the University's history. Each volume serves as a time capsule of the year's events, from the construction of new buildings to the inauguration of new presidents. As a whole, the collection also captures the changing culture, fashion, and trends of student life over time. We invite all University community members to browse and search the digital books, available at http://academic.scranton.edu/department/wml/scrantonybk
