Library Acquires New Online System
Staff Training on the New Online SystemRight on schedule, the Weinberg Memorial Library went online with the Data Research Associate's library automation system on Aug. 12. Core Book Collection Project Progresses
Over the summer ordering began on books selected for acquisition in the Library's core undergraduate collection development project. Purchasing will focus on monographs that are classics in the field or which are frequently discussed within a field and are considered essential to the basic understanding of subject areas studied in undergraduate courses. > Full story

Since the development of the core book collection is intended to satisfy undergraduate students' needs, their feedback is an important part of the process. A survey was distributed and completed by students during preregistration. > Full story

The CD-ROM products continue to be very popular. Statistics indicate that the most popular tides include Periodicals Abstracts on Disc. > Full story
