ATLA Religion Database

Contains references to journal articles, books, essays (as they appear in collected works), and book reviews in religion and related fields from 1949 to the present. There are selected records that span back to 1818.  

Catholic Periodical and Literature Index

CPLI is the product of a partnership between ATLA and the Catholic Library Association. CPLI sources include, but are not limited to, periodicals, books, newspapers, and papal documents dealing on the practice of the Catholic faith and lifestyle.

Provides full text links for philosophers and theologians such as Aquinas, Aristotle, Plato as well as other early political thinkers from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Patrologia Graeca

J.-P. Migne's Patrologia Graeca "contains more than 160 volumes of Greek material (with Latin translations) relevant to the study of the history of the Christian Church from its beginnings through the Council of Florence in 1439." It includes "the early writings collectively known as the Apostolic Fathers, such as the Epistles of Clement and The Shepherd of Hermas, the church historian Eusebius, the controversial theologian Origen, and the Cappadocian Fathers Basil the Great, Gregory of Nazianzus, and Gregory of Nyssa," among many others. Please note: the information in this database is in Greek and Latin, and as such will be most useful to researchers who have proficiency in these ancient Christian languages.
