Alexander Pope Collections

The Alexander Pope Collection consists of eleven titles in three volumes donated by Brian J. Murray, an alumnus, and his wife Diane in memory of Louis D. Mitchell, professor of English at the University from 1961 until his death in 1989. The Murrays donated a first edition of the Dunciad and a first edition of the Rape of the Lock along with a bound collection of Pope writings including his First Satire of the Second Book of Horace. The collection is exhibited in the Special Collections reading room. The following link will take you to catalogue entries for the Alexander Pope Collection.
