Not surprisingly, food is a great attraction in a University Campus. The presence of a coffee shop (that also serves light fare) brings a tremendous amount of energy into a facility.
The social activity that often accompanies meals/snacks serves an important purpose: much of intellectual discussion and collaboration takes place under these circumstances. The presence of a coffee shop increases the chance encounters between faculty and students that could often lead to more meaningful discussions.
As of now, the shop will be called "Bleeker Street", a New York delicatessen-style shop.
The shop will have an ample queue area (shown in orange in the floor plans).
