Renita Fennick

Renita Fennick worked in journalism for nearly 30 years before entering the world of politics.

A graduate of King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, with a degree in Mass Communications, Renita worked at the Citizens’ Voice and The Times Leader newspapers, covering everything from sports to education. In 2006 she was named city editor of The Times Leader where she won a state award for her weekly column.

She was appointed the first executive director of the Luzerne County Republican Party where she helped to establish a full-time headquarters and managed a record-setting fundraising campaign. As executive director, Renita oversaw the fundraising efforts of the county party and candidates on the local, state and federal levels.

She worked in the legislative offices for both Congressmen Tom Marino and Lou Barletta before returning to the private sector where she is a communications manager for a local marketing agency.

Renita is an elected member of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee and continues to work on some campaigns.

She lives in Wilkes-Barre Township and has two children and one grandson.
