About edTPA

edTPA is the assessment and support system designed to provide evidence to states and educator preparation programs that their teaching candidates are ready to teach. Please click here to learn more about edTPA.

Because many states are adopting edTPA as a certification requirement, The University of Scranton has integrated edTPA into the student teaching experience. Spring 2015 was the initial semester it was used.

This is NOT nationally mandated at this point, but states do vary in their level of participation. Please click here to view which states use edTPA as a part of their certification requirements.
