Dr. Farrell is currently engaged in practice as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist and as a nurse practitioner. She work weekly with clients as an advanced practice nurse which informs her teaching and research. Dr. Farrell's current research includes areas specific to teaching (interprofessional education, simulation) and practice (interpersonal violence and mood disorders in post-partal women).
