Dr. Lesneski teaches at the undergraduate level. Her teaching responsibilities include classroom and clinical instruction in community health nursing as well as classroom instruction for the introduction to nursing course. Dr. Lesneski has worked in several hospitals and home health agencies. Currently, she is practicing as a registered nurse in a local hospital's emergency department.

Dr. Lesneski's research interests are cardiovascular health and emergency nursing. Her research identifies why individuals delay seeking treatment when they are having a heart attack. Dr. Lesneski has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. She is a manuscript reviewer for Journal of Clinical Nursing. Dr. Lesneski teaches basic life support to health care providers and the community.
