Farrah Qadri

Farrah Qadri, Scranton, PA, is a 2nd year student in the MHA program.  She currently serves as the Director of Event Planning in the student ACHE chapter. She earned her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Women's Studies from the University of Scranton in 2017. She is a Graduate Assistant in the Biology department and for the Leahy Center at the University of Scranton. She became interested in the field of administration during her pre-medical internships and through volunteering at the Leahy Clinic. She realized that the administrative aspect of healthcare held many opportunities for building relationships with patients, and improving quality within an organization.

During her undergraduate career, Farrah dedicated a great portion of her time to the Leahy Clinic for the uninsured as a volunteer scribe and office volunteer. She also was active in Campus Ministries, where she solidified lifelong bonds through leading retreats. Farrah also gained a passion for data analysis, through service at the United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA and being a TA in Behavioral Statistics. She was an intern at the Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, NJ and Institute of Economics and Public Policy, where she did independent community-based research projects. Farrah recently completed a trip to Central and Eastern Europe, where she presented research on nursing retention and palliative care.

In her spare time, Farrah enjoys reading the Washington Post, trying out new recipes, fashion and makeup, and helping her little sister sell Girl Scout cookies.
