Samantha Zilla



Samantha Zilla, Throop, Pennsylvania, is a 2nd year graduate student in the Masters of Health Administration program at the University of Scranton. Prior to working towards her Master’s degree, Samantha received her undergraduate degree in Health Administration and a minor in Business from the University of Scranton. During her undergraduate career, Sam served as the Membership and Service learning coordinator of the Health Administration Society. Throughout her first year in the MHA program she was an active participant on the student chapter’s planning committee and was a Program Assistant for ACHE Congress in Chicago. Currently, Sam serves as the Vice President of Community Relations for the University of Scranton’s ACHE Student Chapter Executive Board.

 Sam has interned for multiple healthcare organization providing her with experience within different departments and healthcare settings.  These include: a summer internship as a marketing and resource development intern at Maternal Family Health Services, human resource intern at Delta Medix, PC, and a graduate sales intern at Geisinger Health Plan.

Sam enjoys spending time with friends and traveling. Her love for travel started in high school where she served as a Student Ambassador to Europe for three weeks. During her undergraduate career, she studied abroad in Rome, Italy for 4 months and looks forward to completing a graduate course in Brazil this January. As for future plans, Sam desires to pursue an administration residency/fellowship in a metropolitan area. She looks forward gaining hands on experience which will develop her skills to be a successful leader.
