Salomey Mensah, Clarks Summit, PA, is currently pursuing a Masters of Health Administration (MHA) at the University of Scranton and is the current Treasurer for the American College of Healthcare Executives Student Chapter. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Microbiology Labs in the Biology Department.
Prior to the MHA program, she attended The University of Scranton, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Nutrition. With the interest of going on to medical school, Salomey applied to the MHA program to gain a better understanding of the business side of healthcare.
Salomey gained exposure to the healthcare field by working as an emergency department scribe at Regional Hospital of Scranton and Moses Taylor Hospital. As a scribe, she has first-hand experience with the electronic medical record systems of the hospitals.
In her free time, Salomey can be found spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading and catching up on her Netflix queue.
