Raymond Stemrich



Raymond Stemrich, Sweet Valley, PA is currently a Second-Year student in the Master of Health Administration Program at The University of Scranton. He currently serves as the Director of Professional Develop on The University of Scranton’s American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Student Chapter and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Biology Department.

Prior to beginning the Master of Health Administration Program, Ray graduated from The University of Scranton in May of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and minors in Psychology and Theology/Religious Studies. After earning his MHA degree, Ray plans on attending medical school and working as a clinician before becoming an administrator at a hospital or private practice.

Having always been interested in medicine, Ray was exposed to different aspects of the medical industry, especially through shadowing countless physicians and other medical personnel from an early age. Ray currently works closely with physicians in the Emergency Department at Geisinger Community Medical Center as a medical scribe.

When not laboring over class projects or scribing in the ED, Ray enjoys traveling, reading, and all things outdoors. Included among his many adventures are spending three weeks on safari in South Africa, studying biodiversity in the volcanoes and reefs of the Philippines, and fly fishing in the mountains of Colorado. Ray is also active in the University community and spends a great deal of time tutoring underclassmen and volunteering for various enrichment programs hosted on campus.
