Elizabeth Steele

Elizabeth Steele, Brooklyn PA, is a senior Health Administration major currently pursuing a Master of Health Administration (MHA) in the accelerated program offered by University of Scranton. Elizabeth serves as the Director of Undergraduate Relations for the ACHE Student Chapter Executive Board.

Elizabeth has had the privilege of interning at both Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in the last year. During this time, Elizabeth was broadly introduced to the many different facets of healthcare. She was specifically drawn to the topic of artificial intelligence and clinical trials within the healthcare sector. While at MSK, Elizabeth, along with a partner, had the opportunity to explore these interests by researching the collaboration between IBM Watson and Sloan Kettering. Management then picked her team to speak on the collaboration to the rest of the Department of Medicine staff. Upon graduating from her undergraduate degree in May 2018, Elizabeth will go on to complete her 2nd and final year of the MHA program.

Outside of academics, Elizabeth is the president and captain of the Women’s Rugby team here at the University. Elizabeth currently works within the Panuska College of Professional Studies Advising Center and serves as a Resident Assistant for upperclassman students. She is also involved in her church ministries and Oak Leaf Therapeutic Horsemanship Center, which focuses on hippotherapy. Along with extracurriculars, Elizabeth has had the great pleasure of spending a semester traveling throughout Australia and New Zealand. Elizabeth hopes to take this love of traveling into her MHA experience through research opportunities abroad.
