Alyssa Caucci



Alyssa Caucci, Lake Ariel, PA, is currently pursuing a Masters of Health Administration. She graduated from The University of Scranton in 2016 with a BA in Women’s Studies, with a double minor in Health Administration and Psychology, and a concentration in Peace & Justice Studies. She is a member of national professional organizations including American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and the Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA). She is currently the Graduate Assistant at the Leahy Community Health and Family Center, serves as the Director of Professional Relations for the University of Scranton’s ACHE Student Chapter Executive Board, and has previously served on the ACHE Student Chapter Planning Committee. She will also be traveling with the MHA program to Brazil in January of 2018 to help her develop a more global perspective and understanding of the healthcare industry.

Throughout her studies at the University of Scranton, Alyssa has dedicated much time both working and volunteering for the Leahy Community Health & Family Center and the Edward R. Leahy Jr. Clinic for the Uninsured over the past 5 years. While at Leahy Clinic she held the position of EMR Department Manager, served on the Executive Committee for 3 years as the EMR committee manager, and currently serves on the Executive Committee as the Graduate Liaison. Alyssa also has served as the Head Counselor for the University of Success pre-college program for the past two years, was a focus group facilitator for Springboard Healthy Scranton of Geisinger Health System, and brought the “It’s On Us: To Stop Sexual Assault” campaign to the University of Scranton campus.

In her free time, Alyssa performs with the Senior Company at the Ballet Theatre of Scranton, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and travels frequently. Early in her undergraduate career she studied for a semester in Rome, Italy, and traveled throughout Europe which exposed her to global and diverse environments and experiences that in turn influenced her desire to travel and understand different cultures and perspectives. Ultimately, Alyssa aspires to become a leader in the healthcare industry focusing on policy and global health, and addressing health disparities and quality in the US healthcare system.
