The value of obtaining practical work experience through an internship cannot be underestimated. In a recent survey conducted by the Kania Center for Professional Development, more than 70% of seniors had one or more internships during their undergraduate education. A partial list of internship placements by major reveals an impressive array of companies and locations.
Students are encouraged to seek the support of the University of Scranton Career Services Office for help in finding internships and preparing resumes. In addition, The Kania Center for Professional Development is often asked by alumni to notify Kania students of internship opportunities as well. As a result we periodically send email alerts to students.
Under certain circumstances internships may qualify for academic credit. Students are encouraged to discuss this possibility with their academic department and the Kania School Advising Center.
