The Department of Economics and Finance is proud to announce that this year's Henry George Speaker, Daron Acemoglu, Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics at MIT, will deliver our 26th Annual Henry George Lecture titled “ Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity and Poverty” on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 (at 7:30 p.m. in DeNaples Ballroom TDC 407) .
