Murli Rajan

Dr. Murli Rajan joined the University of Scranton in 1989. He received his Ph.D in Finance from Temple University. He is a professor of Finance and the former director for the MBA program. Currently Dr. Rajan serves as the Associate Dean of the Kania School of Management.  He has taught various courses including Introduction to Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management, and Fixed Income Securities.  Professor Rajan has received various teaching awards including the Kania School of Management Finance Teacher of the Year Award (Spring 2008, Spring 2006) and the Student Choice Award for Excellence in Teaching (Fall 2000). Dr. Rajan has also published in many academic journals including Global Finance Journal, Journal of Economics and Business, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Investing, Quality Progress, Internet Research, Operations & Information Management, Journal of Business & Economics Research, and Journal of Internet Commerce. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the National Association of Forensic Economics. He serves as a consultant to the CFA Institute and as an expert witness testifying on matters related to economics damages.
