message from the dean
Dear Kania School visitor and friend,
Welcome to the Kania School of Management. These are extremely exciting times for us, and as dean, I am very proud to invite you to explore our Jesuit-inspired, innovative, and nationally ranked business programs presented on these web pages. Whether you are a prospective student seeking an excellent place to learn and grow, an alumnus wishing to reconnect with your business school, an employer seeking outstanding candidates for internships and career positions, or a community supporter of our Jesuit mission to develop future leaders as women and men for others, I believe you will find much in these pages that will inform and inspire you.
Our AACSB International accreditation and multiple national rankings clearly confirm our emergence as a distinguished Jesuit Business School that continues to build on a reputation of excellence. We continue to pursue that excellence in developing the whole person that led the late Peter F. Drucker, widely known as the ‘father of management,’ to describe us as the business school ‘where they are changing lives’. Indeed, we are now working even harder to help students transform themselves by providing ever more rigorous and innovative curricula based on a strong liberal arts foundation, outstanding mentoring programs supported by distinguished alumni and business leaders, and opportunities to acquire skills through practice by providing high-quality internships, co-ops, and cutting-edge laboratory based markets and other simulations. Above all, engagement of our students is framed by a mantle of Jesuit- inspired ethics instruction that promotes their growth into successful, ethical and just business leaders.
You will discover in these pages how engaged our faculty and staff, our students, our alumni, and industry supporters are in collaborating to create a really amazing place to learn and grow. We are forever grateful to all of you who find a way to support us, and we invite you to connect with us. Send me an email at Michael.firstname.lastname@example.org. I will update you with student-centered stories of Jesuit values in action, innovation in our business programs, and strategic progress that will make you even prouder to be a Kania School friend. Thank you for spending time with us.
Sincerely,Michael O. Mensah, Ph.D.
