Accounting Clubs and Honor Society

At the University of Scranton, there are numerous opportunities for accounting students to become involved. Whether you are interested in financial, managerial, and/or forensic accounting, we have a club focused towards you! We are proud to host three major academic and professional organizations on campus:

  • Beta Alpha Psi (BAP)/Society of Accounting Students (SAS)
  • The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Chapter/IMA’s Accounting Honor Society (IAHS), and
  • The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Student Chapter

Each student run organization offers and sponsors a series of events throughout the year. These events include (but are not limited to):

  • Alumni speakers on a variety of accounting topics and current events
  • Networking opportunities with various accounting firms and alumni
  • Site visits/Industry tours
  • Community-service opportunities, and
  • Opportunities to participate in regional and national student conferences

So if you are an ambitious student who is looking to learn more about the profession, and wants to network with successful alumni and other student members, please contact us today. We are always looking for new, highly-motivated student members to join our teams!
