America in a Trance: Photographs by Niko J. Kallianiotis
October 21 through November 16, 2018
Niko J. Kallianiotis. Braddock II. From the series America in a Trance. Archival inkjet print. 2016.
In an effort to visualize the core values of American society, Niko J. Kallianiotis photographs scenes of deindustrialization in small towns across Pennsylvania. In his travels, he searches for images that reflect, question, and interpret the yearning for survival and cultural perseverance in these once vibrant regions now facing economic decline. The book American in a Trance, published by Damiani, is also available.
