About our Faculty
We take enormous pride in the deep bench of talent we have across our graduate programs.
Our faculty members bring a world of practical experience into the classroom. They are not only skillful educators, they are top-notch researchers, authors and practioners. They also live the Jesuit values and often serve the community through their work, encouraging students to do the same.
"We are recognized for teaching as well as scholarship." - Dean Mike Mensah, Ph.D., Kania School of Management (KSOM)
From the start, graduate students benefit from their real-world knowledge and their hands-on approach to learning. Our faculty members not only offer academic planning and guidance, they are there as mentors and, often, colleagues in research.
"The strength of our graduate programs derives from the mentoring relationships between faculty and students. Our faculty come to see the graduate students as colleagues working collaboratively on shared interests." - Dean Brian Conniff, Ph.D., College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)
Scranton faculty members provide a nurturing environment with graduate student involvement in faculty-mentored student research projects which lead to national peer-reviewed journals and national, international and state-level presentations by students and faculty mentors. Faculty members also guide students through graduate assistantships.
"Through the faculty’s efforts to provide a caring and compassionate learning environment with high academic standards, our students soar to new dimensions." - Dean Debra A. Pellegrino, Ed.D., Panuska College of Professional Studies (PCPS)
Our faculty members consistently publish their own work and also present and collaborate with their students.
