A Turnitin dropbox allows students to submit a paper and run an originality report to see if a paper contains plagiarism or similarities to other submitted work. Turnitin supports the writing process for students by enforcing good summarizing/synopsizing techniques and assists faculty in promoting academic integrity. To submit a paper;
-
Find the Turnitin drop box under the Lessons tab and click the name of the drop box
-
Click on the Submit button
-
Fill out all relevant information and click Browse to select your file to upload, then click Upload
NOTE: Recommended file types are .DOC and .DOCX. The file size limit is 20MB.
-
Review your submission, then click Submit
-
To see the report generated for your submission, click on go to portfolio
-
Click on the colored meter that displays your originality results. The following page will give you detailed information.
NOTE: The originality report may take up to 24 hours to be completed.

NOTE: Most originality reports are displayed in their respective Turnitin dropbox in 5 to 10 minutes. However, if the same paper is resubmitted, there is a mandatory 24 hour wait before the new originality report is displayed.
