Attach Content Item to Gradebook

  1. Click the course you want to add Content to your gradebook.
  2. Once inside the course, click the Lessons tab located at the top of the page.


  3. Under the Lessons heading click on Add Content, which is located below the heading.
  4. Select the content item you would like to have attached to the gradebook.

  5. Once you select which content item you would like to add make sure to hit the Advanced button next to the word Settings.  
  6. Go through the Content, Access, Submission, and Review tabs and set up the content as you would like.


  7. Click the Assignment tab. The Assignment tab is how you link your content item to the gradebook.

  8. Under the heading Gradebook Settings there will be a drop down box labeled Assignment.
    • In this drop down box select New Assignment.


  9. In the boxes that appear fill in the information.
    • Fill in the Title of the assignment
    • Under category either select a category from the drop down box or click Other and create a new category.
    • Adjust Points Possible, Calculation Type, and Display Format as needed.
    • *NOTE* Calculation Type should be set to "First Submission".

  10. Click save
