As a Disability Support Specialist, I work closely with students who need academic accommodations and support under ADA standards. It is my goal to inspire, encourage, and empower students to be their own self-advocates on their academic journey here at the University of Scranton.

Students may meet with me individually throughout the semester for academic coaching and support. I believe each student arrives with a unique academic background and with proper guidance and support can succeed in their chosen field of study.

Also, my position in the OSSS allows me to closely collaborate with Mary Ellen Pichiarello, the Learning Specialist. Together, we advocate for students with disabilities, encourage communication between students and professors, and share in the proctoring of exams. We are fortunate to have the tutoring program and the writing center to assist the students as necessary.

I earned a B. S. in Special Education from Bloomsburg University and a M. Ed. From Millersville University. It has always been my goal to work with students at the collegiate level and I am thrilled to be part of the University of Scranton staff.
