Society has a tremendous need today for highly skilled, advanced practice nurses.  The University of Scranton's CCNE-accredited Master of Science in Nursing degree programs provide registered nurses with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to perform this advanced practice role.

The University offers three areas of specialization:

      • family nurse practitioner (FNP),
      • adult health nursing (AH),
      • and nurse anesthetist (NA).

Graduates of the FNP track are eligible for certification through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, as well as through the American Nurses' Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Graduates of the AH track are eligible for certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
