Villanova School of Law Affiliation Agreement

The University of Scranton has established an affiliation with Villanova University School of Law. The most unique feature of the agreement is a “3-3 program” in which eligible students will be able to enroll at Villanova Law after three years of study at The University of Scranton. Because the first year of law school will also count toward (up to) 30 credits of the undergraduate degree, it will take a student in the program a total of six, rather than seven, years to complete both the bachelor degree (3 years) and the JD (3 years). To be eligible for this program, students must have a 3.6 GPA and a LSAT score of 158 (and meet other fitness and character requirements). Eligible students will receive a minimum scholarship of $25,000 per year.

Another important feature of the agreement is that graduating seniors will also be eligible for automatic admission to Villanova University School of Law. To be eligible, seniors must have a 3.6 GPA and an LSAT score of 154. Eligible seniors will receive a minimum scholarship of $5,000 per year.

If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please contact Dr. Matthew Meyer (matthew.meyer@scraton.edu) for further information. For those interested in the 3-3 program, it is important to express interest as early as possible because scheduling classes properly and choosing an appropriate major will be essential (also, the program is not compatible with all undergraduate majors).
