Ileana Szymanski received her Bachelor of Philosophy from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City; her Master’s and PhD degrees are both in Philosophy, and were awarded by the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada).  Throughout her education she received the scholarship of the Mexican Ministry of Public Education, the University of Guelph Graduate Scholarship, the CONACyT tuition scholarship, and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. She has been involved in different capacities teaching philosophy in high school and University since 1998. Her areas of research are Ancient Philosophy (with a special focus on Aristotle), and Philosophy of Food. She also has an interest in Feminist Philosophy, especially in Feminist Philosophy of Science. Her teaching philosophy aims at bringing philosophy to life and showing its relevance for people’s every-day experiences.
