David Black, Ph.D.

David Black received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University, where he was awarded the Sparks Dissertation Fellowship in the Humanities. He has also completed a graduate minor in art history. He earned his B.A. from Northern Illinois University with a double-major in communications and philosophy. In addition, he holds an A.A. degree from Sauk Valley College. His philosophical interests include: philosophy of culture, Vico, Chinese philosophy, philosophy of rhetoric, and theories of conscience.
