As a Catholic and Jesuit institution, The University of Scranton is committed to helping to address community needs and views the well-being of the University and the City of Scranton as intertwined.  From an educational and cultural asset to an economic engine, job creator, and partner with businesses, the University seeks to be a good neighbor in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  According to a recent report, the University had a $270,112,367 regional economic impact in 2012-2013 and $5.3 billion since 1980.
